Simple Broccoli Recepe

Ingredients

    Broccoli, fresh, 1 bunch (remove)
    *Lemon Juice, 1 lemon yields (remove)
    Salt, 1 tsp (remove)

Tips

Do not overcook the broccoli. Try them with a fork while in the hot water - there should be a lot of resistance to the fork. I even prefer them undercooked.


Directions

Bring a pot of water to boil and turn the heat off. Drop in the broccoli florets that you cut up and washed thoroughly. Put a lid and let them sit in the hot water for about 4-5min. Still crunchy, drain the hot water and 'shock' them in ice cold water to stop cooking and so that they remain green. If running water, keep running it until florets are completely cold. They place them on a calendar to drain. Once drained, add the freshly squeezed juice of one lemon, olive oil and salt. Make sure it's well coated and serve.
