Tina's Homestyle Chicken & Rice

Introduction

I used leftover friend chicken, removing skin & bones. To reduce calories, fat & cholesterol, use baked or broiled chicken. I used leftover friend chicken, removing skin & bones. To reduce calories, fat & cholesterol, use baked or broiled chicken.

Ingredients

    5 Chicken Breast, bone and skin removed
    5 cup Water, tap
    4 tbsp. McCormick Chicken Base
    1/2 bag Kroger Mire Poix (onion/carrots/celery)
    4 oz Baby BellaMushrooms
    3 c Royal Blend Rice Blend


Directions

Remove all skin & bones from Kroger fried chicken breasts. Dice and place in large sauce pan.

Add 5 cups water and chicken base. Heat on high. Add Mire Poix and diced Baby Bellas. Then add rice blend.

Bring to a boil. Then cover and reduce heat to med low and simmer for 15 minutes.


Serving Size: 5 servings of 1 cup each
