Beer n' Pizza

Submitted by: JO_JO_BA

Introduction

This is the great, ultimate combination of frat parties and Super Bowls everywhere: pizza and beer! The beer gives the dough a nice yeasty flavour without the need for any rising or kneading. And don’t worry about the alcohol in the beer if serving to kids — it disappears in the baking. This is the great, ultimate combination of frat parties and Super Bowls everywhere: pizza and beer! Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 tbsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
12 oz beer (honey lager is beautiful in this but any kind will do)

Directions

Preheat oven to 425ºF. Grease two 12" pizza pans.
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt.
Pour in the beer and stir until it forms a really wet, sticky dough.
Beat an extra 5-7 minutes, so that the dough develops a stretchy consistency. I
Let the dough rest for about five minutes before using — it will be easier to work with once it has relaxed
Dump the dough out onto the prepared pans, dividing it equally between them.
Sprinkle the top with flour to reduce stickiness and pat the dough into an even layer, all the way to the edges of the pan.
Top in whatever way you want, then bake 20 to 25 minutes, until the bottom is lightly browned and the toppings are done.
