Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken

Ingredients

    5 Chicken breasts
    1 16 oz. jar La Victoria Thick'N Chunky mild salsa
    1/2 package Lawry's Taco Seasoning

Directions

Trim fat from chicken. Rinse chicken and place chicken in Crock pot.
Sprinkle 1/2 package of taco seasoning onto chicken
Pour salsa over chicken.

Cook on low in crock pot 6 to 8 hours.

  • I enjoyed this recipe - I found that spooning some of the salsa back onto the chicken when served added some extra flavor. I also added some reduced fat cheddar cheese, which I felt improved the dish. - 5/3/12

  • I made this for my family tonight and everyone loved it ! I used my favorite 'Pace' hot salsa and added a can of corn and black beans like others had suggested. I think I added a little too much taco seasoning as the chicken was a bit salty but overall everyone enjoyed it. - 8/17/11

  • I love getting these ideas as "starters!" I didn't have taco seasoning on hand, so I just dumped some frozen chicken breasts, and a jar of salsa in the slow cooker on low for 4 hours. Then I dumped in a drained can of black beans and a drained can of yellow corn. Polishing off the left-overs NOW! - 1/11/11
