Ree's Granola Bars

Ingredients

    oats, honey, molasses, rice krispies, wheat germ

Tips

Added 1/3c milled flax to boost omega-3 content


Directions

Mix melted butter, oil, and oats. Toast in 350F oven for 10-15 minutes until slighty browned.
Mix apple juice, molasses, brown sugar,and honey. Heat gently in a sauce pan. Add vanilla extract to hot mixture
Pour oats back into a large mixing bowl and add rice krispies, wheat germ, almonds, and sugar mixture and mix.
Spread on one cookie sheet that has a layer of foil or has been greased. Press flat with hands.
Cook about 20 minutes until browned.
Cut into 28 rectangles
