Raisin bread

    Raisins 1/3 cup
    Candied peel 1/3 cup
    Water ~2 tbsp

    Egg, beaten 1
    Milk To 12 oz with egg
    Sweetzfree 15 drops

    Almond oil 1/4 cup
    Sugar 1 tbsp
    Salt 1 tsp
    Flour 3 ¾ cups
    Cinnamon 1 tsp
    Mixed spice 1 1/2 tsp
    Nutmeg A little
    Gluten 2 tbsp
    Yeast 2 tsp


You can use butter instead of almond oil. If you can't find Sweetzfree use Splenda 2/3 cup, or any heat-stable sweetener.


In a small bowl mix fruit and water, set aside. Mix egg, milk and Sweetzfree and nuke to lukewarm.

Add all ingredients except fruit mix to breadmaker, liquids first, and set to "Dough" setting. After machine has been mixing for 15 minutes, add fruit and water to machine. When dough is finished, flatten and knead, divide into 2 pieces. Shape and place each in a bread tin. Prove 60 min. Bake at 350 for 30 min.

Serving Size: Makes 2 loaves
