Green Oatmeal Smoothie

Submitted by: AMYKAREENA

Introduction

Its called "green" because of the spinach- however I usually use frozen strawberries and blueberries and this turns the drink a dark purple. The oatmeal gives it a subtle texture- but helps keep me full; we don't mind it. Omit it if your picky about texture. Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1 cup water
1/2 cup oatmeal (old fashioned - uncooked)
    2 cups fresh baby spinach
1 cup Lowfat Vanilla Greek Yogurt
    2 cups frozen fruit
    1 sliced fresh bananas
    1/2 cup frozen blueberries
    1 cup ice cubes

Tips

This is how I blend it on my cheap $30 blender- if you have a high end one you can probably toss it all in and go. Use common sense.
