French Onion Burgers

French Onion Burgers

Ingredients

    1 lb lean (93%) ground beef
    1 cup mushrooms, sliced
    1/2 medium yellow onion, sliced
    2 tbsp worchestershire sauce, divided
    1 packet Lipton french onion soup mix
    1/4 cup white cooking wine
    2 tsp montreal steak seasoning
    4 slices fat free pepperjack
    4 Healthy Life hambuger buns

Directions

1. Mix ground beef, 1 tbsp worchestershire sauce, and entire dry packet of french onion soup mix until combined. Form into 4 equal sized patties. Grill until done; set aside.

2. Meanwhile, spray a large skillet with cooking spray and add mushrooms and sliced onions. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until lightly browned. Add cooking wine and 1 tsp worchestershire sauce. Reduce heat to low, cover and let reduce for 5 minutes. Stir well and top with steak seasoning.

3. Serve on bun topped with pepperjack cheese, burger, and mushroom mixture.

Serving Size: Makes 4 1/4lb burgers
