Pea soup

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    Split Peas (yellow), 2.5 cup
    Chicken stock, Better than Bouillon, reduced sodium, 2 tbsp
    Bayleaf, whole, 2
    Boiling water 8 cups
    Cold water 2 cups

Directions

Dissolve the bouillon in the hot water (you may need to do this in 2 batches). Place peas in a slow cooker and add the bouillon mix. Stir. Cook on high for 6 hours, stirring occasionally. Turn off, add cold water and stir. Remove bayleaves. Serve immediately or allow to cool, put into boxes and freeze.

Serving Size: Makes 10 servings of about 1 cup.
