Introduction

This is a little heavy for a dieter, but it's very healthy and keeps my teenage athlete going until lunchtime. This is a little heavy for a dieter, but it's very healthy and keeps my teenage athlete going until lunchtime.

Ingredients

    Whole wheat hamburger bun
    2 T. natural peanut butter
    1/2 kiwi fruit, sliced very thinly
    1/4 apple, sliced very thinly
    2 strawberries, sliced very thinly

Tips

For a lower-calorie option, choose a less dense bun (I used Rudi's organic bakery wheat bun--Wonder wheat buns have 50 fewer calories).


Directions

Lightly toast the bun. Spread each half with 1 T. of the peanut butter. Layer the fruit slices and assemble the sandwich.

Serving Size: Makes 1 sandwich
