1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 large onion
2 cloves garlic
1tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp mustard seed, crushed
1/4 tsp coriander seed, crushed
4 cups prepared black beans (or 32oz of canned beans)
2 cans no salt added diced tomatoes
Note: if canned beans are used, salt content increases. Prepared black beans recipe is in my recipe box. Salt content can be further reduced by reducing the amount of boullion used in the prepared beans.
Makes approximately 8 one cup servings.
