Orange cinnamon muesli

Introduction

Make it the night before for a quick grab-and-go breakfast or snack. Make it the night before for a quick grab-and-go breakfast or snack.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2.5 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
    1/4 c. wheat germ
    1/4 c. ground flax seed
    3 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. almonds, coarsely chopped
    1/4 c. raisins
    1/2 c. dates, pitted and chopped
    juice and zest of 1 orange
    1 large apple, grated
    1/4 c. honey
    1/2 t. ground cinnamon
    1 c. Greek yogurt, plain

Tips

Store in the refrigerator portioned into individual serving sizes for a quick breakfast.


Directions

Mix oats, wheat germ, and flax. Pour boiling water. Let stand until water is absorbed. While it is standing, mix remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Add to oat mixture. Serve warm or cold. Keeps up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
