Ingredients

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar + 2 tbs for coating
    1 large egg
    1 tbsp milk
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 tbs cinnamon

Directions

1) In a mixing bowl, cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar until smooth. Add egg, milk, and vanilla and blend.

2) In a separate bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until dough is firm enough to handle.

3) Heat oven to 375F / 190C. In a cup, mix remaining sugar and cinnamon. Scoop and roll the dough into 1 inch balls; then drop the balls in the cup and roll it in cinnamon sugar to coat all sides. Arrange sugar-coated balls on ungreased cookie sheets, spacing 1 inches apart

4) Bake until edges are firm to touch, about 12 minutes. Do not overbake. Transfer cookies to a rack to cool.

5) The result are adorable 2-inch diameter bite sized cookies. That way, you can have more cookies while still keeping your calorie meter in check.

6) Enjoy!
