Ingredients

    2 1/2 C. Water
    1 C. Brown Rice
    1 C. Chopped onion
    1 Tbs. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1 Tsp. Dried Basil
    1 Tsp. Dried Oregano
    1 Tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
    1 Tsp. Salt

Tips

Omit salt for sodium restricted diets.


Directions

Bring water to full boil. Add rice and all other ingredients to saucepan. Boil for 10 minutes. Turn to medium-low heat and simmer for 50 minutes.
