PB & chocolate steel cut oats

Introduction

Add another 1/2 Tbsp peanut butter for more fat/protein, or 1 extra tsp sugar for extra sweetness Add another 1/2 Tbsp peanut butter for more fat/protein, or 1 extra tsp sugar for extra sweetness

Ingredients

    1/4 cup dry steel-cut oats
    1 1/2 cups water
    1/2 Tbsp cocoa powder
    1/2 Tbsp smooth peanut butter
    1/4 tsp vanilla extract
    2 tsp sugar

Directions

Cook steel-cut oats according to package directions (it needs almost all the water because the cocoa will thicken it up). This recipe is best when the oatmeal is cooked for the full 30 minutes. Add the cocoa,sugar, vanilla and peanut butter after cooking and stir to combine.

Serving Size: Makes 1 serving (approx 1 cup cooked)
