Ingredients

1 1.44-oz packet Safeway brand chili seasoning
1 28-oz can whole peeled tomatoes, cut up
    20 oz 97% fat-free ground turkey
1 pound red kidney beans (dried)
    water

Directions

Soak the beans in a large pot covered by 3 inches of water at least 8-hours (overnight). Drain the soaking water and add more water to the pan to about 2 inches above the beans, bring to a boil and simmer 1.5-2 hours or until done. Drain and rinse the beans.

Place 1/2 cup water in the bottom of the (now empty) pan and add the ground turkey. Cook until the turkey is done, stirring constently and breaking it up into little pieces. Add the chili seasoning and mix well. Use a knife to cut up the tomatoes while they are still in the can, add the tomatoes and juice to the turkey, add the beans. Stir well. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.
