Whole family loved this trimmed down recipe. I served it with Sticky Chicken and a broccoli salad. Hubby said, "If this is diet food, count me in!" - 3/2/08

All I have to say is WOW! Great fat-free treat! Plus, healthy fruit to boot. Make sure to look for "no sugar added" on the can of crushed pineapple. Great for fall and winter holiday celebrations! - 8/17/08

I mix the dry pudding with the crushed pineapple with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. I mix this into the apples, then I mix fat free whipped topping into the mix. Delicious and very low in fat and low in calories. Great dish to take to gatherings. Be prepared for requests for the recipe! - 2/3/08

So good. I did drain the pineapple, some. It definitely makes enough for family and/or potluck .. but I don't think I'll have a bit of trouble cleaning it up myself! - 2/12/08

This is a great quick recipe to make for last minute gatherings. I made it for my daughter to take to a carry in for 4-H and she said they ate all of it before she could even get any! Needless to say I had to make another bowl! - 2/3/08

  • We liked the flavor this created but had a hard time with the texture from the crushed pineapple. It kind of ruined the dessert for us. Maybe next time use chunks instead of crushed. - 11/22/12

  • This is awesome!! There is definitely enough sauce to add more apples. I added one more but could easily add a couple more and still have all well coated. Thanks for this recipe- I will definitely make this often. - 2/24/12

  • I have made this numerous times for potlucks. It is delicious and absolutely amazing that the butterscotch pudding and pineapple makes such a true caramel flavor! I use 8oz pinepple and about 1/2 the Cool Whip.
