British Pound Cake

Introduction

This recipe is based off of the traditional pound cake recipe from England. This recipe is based off of the traditional pound cake recipe from England.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    450g sugar
    450g butter
    450g flour
    6 whole eggs
    6 egg yolks

Directions

Use room temperature butter 450g and place into a bowl with electric beater. Beat butter until it is frothy and creamy. This will incorporate air into the mixture which will make the cake mix rise. Adding small amounts of sugar into the mix until creamy. Once mixed add small amounts of flour a little at a time until the constituency of cake mix is achieved. Transfer cake into greased pan and into a 355 degree oven for 75 minutes. Check cake with tooth pick for consistency all the way through and it should be lightly browned on top. Let cool for 20mins
