Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

    1 Spanish onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, sliced
    1/2 medium carrot, shredded
    1/4 cup Olive Oil
    2-28 oz. cans San Marzano style canned Tomatoes
    2 tsp. of Italian seasoning

Tips

Use San Marzano Tomatoes if possible


Directions

Chop onion and slice garlic. Heat the olive oil, add onions and garlic and cook until softened, about 10 minutes. Add shredded carrot and Marjoram (or Italian seasoning) cook for another 5 minutes. Add canned tomatoes, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for at least 30 minutes or until sauce has thickened.

Serving Size: Makes 8 - 1 cup servings
