Ingredients

    12 pitted medjool dates
    1 cup of walnuts (or nuts of choice)
    4 tbs of unsweetened peanut butter (chunky or creamy, I prefer Trader Joe's)
    2 scoop Designer Whey Gourmet Chocolate protein powder

Tips

Just designed this protein bar recipe. It needs work. I'm trying to create a protein bar that's gluten free with no added sugar. Will work on perfecting and adding more varieties. Any tips appreciated.


Directions

Dump all ingredients (except nuts) into food processor. Blend until well mixed. Add nuts and blend to desired consistency. Place mixture into wax paper lined 8X8 pyrex dish. Press into dish until firm and flat. Cover dish and refrigerate for few hours. Once chilled, cut into 16 squares. Store bars in container in fridge.

Serving Size: makes 16 - 2" pieces
