Vanilla banana smoothie

Introduction

When I am craving a milkshake or ice cream this often satisfies and really boosts my potassium. I buy a ton of bananas and when they're at my preferred ripeness I cut them into chunks and freeze them. When I am craving a milkshake or ice cream this often satisfies and really boosts my potassium. I buy a ton of bananas and when they're at my preferred ripeness I cut them into chunks and freeze them.
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1c low fat yogurt, plain
    1/2c banana chunks, frozen
    1t Sugar
    Skim or almond milk to thin to taste
    1/8t vanilla extract

Tips

For a chocolate smoothie, skip the vanilla and sugar and add a couple tablespoons of chocolate syrup.


Directions

Blend ingredients smooth. For an extra thick and creamy dessert leave in the freezer for at least an hour, stirring maybe every half hour.

Serving Size: Makes about two 1c servings when fully frozen
