IntroductionLow GI Meat Loaf Low GI Meat Loaf
Jennie-O Extra Lean Ground Turkey, 17.6 oz
Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
Mushrooms, fresh, 2 cup, pieces or slices
Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
Garlic, 3 cloves
Ragu Pizza Quick Sauce, Traditional, .75 cup
Flax Seed Meal (ground flax), 8 tbsp
Egg Beaters Southwestern, .2 cup
1 tsp dried Thyme
1/4 cup chopped flatleafed parsley
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
Allow to cool.
Add meal, egg, 1/4 cup Pizza sauce, parsley & worcestershire sauce and mix well.
Use hands to mix into turkey.
Pack into 8 x 4 inch loaf pan, spread with remaining pizza sauce, and cook at 350 F for 1 hour or until meat thermometer reads 160 F.
Makes 6 servings.
