Simple Panko Breaded Oven-Baked Chicken

Ingredients

    1 Perdue Perfect Portion boneless skinless chicken breast
    2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
    1/5 cup Progresso Italian-style Panko bread crumbs
    Cooking spray
    Paprika (optional)
    Garlic pepper (optional)

Tips

Add any spices you like to give your chicken an extra kick. I personally like adding paprika, garlic pepper, and sometimes a sprinkle of fat-free shredded cheese.

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking pan or dish with cooking spray (I prefer Pam Olive Oil flavor).

Pour olive oil into dish or bowl. Measure panko bread crumbs into a separate dish. Dredge chicken breast in olive oil, squeezing off the excess. Flip chicken breast in the dish with bread crumbs to fully coat.

Place chicken breast in cooking spray-coated baking dish/pan. Sprinkle extra bread crumbs left on dish on top of chicken breast. If some extra spice is desired, sprinkle a small amount of paprika and freshly-ground garlic pepper on top of chicken breast.

Bake in conventional oven for approximately 37 minutes at 375 degrees or until chicken is done.
