Introduction

Homemade chili Homemade chili
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 Can Dark Red Kidney Beans low sodium
    1 Can Light Red Kidney Beans
    1 Can Black Beans Low Sodium
    1 Can Sweet Corn Low Sodium
    1 Can Mild Rotel
    1 lb Ground Beef 93% lean
    Seasonings:
    1 tbsp Cumin
    1 tbsp Adobo
    1 tbsp Chili Powder
    1 tbsp Onion Powder
    1 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes
    * I season to taste! Amounts are estimated.
    Before completing add a little baking soda and sugar (very little) to eliminate acid.

Tips

You may add your favorite toppings such as cheese, sour cream, corn bread, or whatever you like!


Directions

Brown and drain ground beef. On medium high heat, add each can. I don't drain because I like my chili soupy. Stir well. Add seasonings. Continue stirring until seasonings are combined. Reduce heat to medium-low to simmer for 20 minutes. About 5 minutes before serving add baking soda and sugar and stir.

Serving Size: Makes 8-10 serving bowls
