Easy Peazy Lasagna

Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1lb Lean Ground Beef
    2 cups of your favorite spaghetti sauce
    1 6oz can tomato paste
    1 1/2 cups Skim milk mozzarella cheese, shredded
    1/2 cup non fat cottage cheese
    1/4 cup romano cheese, shredded
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
    a dash of garlic salt
    Lasagna noodles (quantity depending on the size of pan)

Tips

You may substitute beef with ground turkey or ground chicken.

A homemade marinara/spaghetti sauce would be AWEOSOME to cut down sugars/calories


Directions

Brown ground beef and part of the onions until no pink is showing. Drain if needed. Stir in spaghetti sauce and tomato paste along with garlic, rest of onions, and garlic salt. let cook until a nice red color is evenly distributed. Take baking dish and cover bottom layer with sauce mixture and then cover with uncooked noodles. Layer again with the following:

Sauce
Romano Cheese
Cottage Cheese
Mozzarella cheese

after that first layer, again, layer with noodles and then sauce and cheeses. Do this until you run out of sauce and it should get to the top of the pan. At the top I liked to go crazy with the mozzarella to have that nice cheese top. Garnish with some parsley if you'd like and wrap in tin foil and put in oven at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes. When that 50 minutes are done, remove foil and bake for 10 more minutes to brown the cheese.
