Frappa-powow

Submitted by: RGROSKREUTZ

Introduction

This high protein, nutrient dense, frappe was created to be a day starting kick-off or afternoon pick-me-up. My daily coffee house stop wasn't just about the beverage itself, it is the pampering of having someone else prepare it for you and not having to worry about the clean up. My favorite Starbuck's in Kowaski's Market will allow me to hand over my container of mixin's and they will blend it for me with my purchased Doppio Shot (double shot of espresso) and ice. Of course you can blend it all together yourself, but for me, the few bucks is worth it on my quick stop in before work. It is still a lot cheaper this way than to purchase their Frap's as offered on the menu and I get such incredible, friendly service, it makes my morning! Ingredients

Combine (I shake it up in a small jar/container to mix):
1 scoop of LifeCafe FastFuel Complete (*note- serving size listed on tub is 2 scoops, but because I add other ingredients to this recipe, I just use 1 scoop)
1 Tbsp of TJ's Organic Cocoa Powder
1 Tbsp of Ground Flax Seed Meal
1/2 Scoop Dynamic Greens (My favorite is the Mint)
1 packet of Organic Stevia Powder
1 Square of Lindt Excellence 90% Supreme Dark Cocoa (broken up into little bits)

    Mix Above added to:
    1 scoop of ice
1.5 c of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (I Recommend Silk as it has NO Carageenan)
    1 Doppio Espresso Shot (Starbucks)

Tips

Please note - there is no processed sugar in this recipe. Stevia, which is a natural, calorie-free sweetner, shows up on nutrient labels as containging sugar grams; but it does not raise your blood sugar level.

I try to make my own Coconut or Almond milk when possible, but if you don't have the time, Silk's Unsweetened Almond Milk is Carageenan Free.

You could eliminate milk alternative all together and just blend with 1.5-2 cups of VERY strong Coffee.

Of course you can blend it yourself at home as well, just be sure to rinse out that blender right away because it is not fun to clean if it sits around! ;)

Directions

Blend the Espresso, Almond Milk & Ice, then blend in the combined dry ingredients.

Serving Size: Makes 1 - 20 oz Serving
