Chicken-Bacon Alfredo Macaroni & Cheese Dinner with Broccoli

Submitted by: CURVES_N_CURLS

Introduction

Can't imagine that this is going to come out very healthy once I've finished calculating the nutritional information (high in fat and sodium to be sure!), but it sure made a warm and comforting quick go-to meal from packaged items. I'm always pimping out my Kraft Dinner! ;-) [Created 2008-03-11.] Can't imagine that this is going to come out very healthy once I've finished calculating the nutritional information (high in fat and sodium to be sure!), but it sure made a warm and comforting quick go-to meal from packaged items. Ingredients

    * 1 box Kraft Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese Dinner w/ Sharp Cheddar Cheese
    * 3 cups Green Giant Select Premium Cuts of Vegetbles, Broccoli Florets (frozen)
    * 1 cup Bertolli Alfredo Sauce with Aged Parmesan Cheese
    * 1 369g can Member's Mark (Sam's Club Brand) Premium Chunk Chicken Breast in Water (drained)
    * 4 tbsp. (1/4 cup) Oscar Mayer Real Bacon Bits, Hickory Smoke Flavour
    * 1/2 cup Sargento Artisan Blends Whole Milk Mozzarella Shredded Natural Cheese

Directions

1. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat, and add the Kraft Dinner pasta. Keep at a rolling boil, and cook for about 5 minutes.
2. Add the frozen broccoli to the boiling water and pasta pot, and boil for another 3 - 4 minutes, making sure not to over-cook the pasta. Drain and reserve.
3. Lower the heat to medium-low, and return the pasta and broccoli to the pot. Add the can of chicken breast, the Kraft Dinner cheese sauce packet, and the alfredo sauce to the pot. . Stir thoroughly to incorporate, until heated through. Finally, add the shredded cheese and real bacon bits, stirring constantly to heat through and melt the cheese.
4. Serve immediately for best presentation. Makes seven generous (slightly overflowing) 1-cup servings. Enjoy! :)
