Whole wheat pancakes

Introduction

My boys love these. Much better than the boxed kind, from what they tell me. My boys love these. Much better than the boxed kind, from what they tell me.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 cup whole wheat flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 tbsp. granulated sugar
    1 cup milk
    3 tbsp. egg whites (or 1 large egg)
    2 tbsp. canola oil

Tips

Skip the syrup and top with fresh berries, peanut butter or flavored Greek yogurt.


Directions

Mix all the dry ingredients together, then add the wet ingredients and stir together until blended. Pour by 1/2 cup full onto a hot griddle sprayed with non stick cooking spray. When edges dry and bubbles pop, flip and cook on the other side until brown.

Serving Size: make 8 large pancakes
