Fried Rice

Introduction

Home made fried rice with bacon Home made fried rice with bacon
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 cups long grain rice
    1/4 pound of bacon chopped fine
    1 medium onion chopped
    1 green pepper chopped
    1 can bean sprouts drained or 1 bunch of fresh bean sprouts
    2 eggs
    Soy sauce to taste

Tips

This warms well in microwave for any left overs


Directions

Cover the rice with water, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer with lid until light and fluffy.
Chop bacon and cook in a large pan until brown and slightly crispy. Add onions, green pepper and simmer until tender. Scramble egg into the mixture and simmer until not runny. Add bean sprouts, cooked rice. Mix well and add soy sauce to taste.
