Baked Spaghetti

Introduction

Spaghetti, lasagna-style - layered with cheeses and baked until melty and perfect. Spaghetti, lasagna-style - layered with cheeses and baked until melty and perfect.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 small jars or 1 large jar of spaghetti sauce
    1 package of spaghetti noodles
    1 egg
    1 carton of cottage cheese
    1 package of shredded mozzarella or italian-style cheese

Tips

You can create as many layers as you want. If I prepare it in a deep dish, I do at least two sets; if I prepare it in a shallow dish, I just do one layer.


Directions

Preheat oven to 350.

Prepare noodles as directed.

Brown beef and season as desired; add sauce and allow it to simmer.

Combine cottage cheese, egg, and all but a handful of shredded cheese. Mix well.

Spread some sauce in the bottom of an oven-safe dish (I usually use the last bit in the jar for this).

Drain noodles and add to dish.

Spread cheese mixture on top of the noodles.

Spread meat and suace on top of the cheese layer.

Take reserved handful of shredded cheese and sprinkle across the top of the sauce.

Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes or until cheese browns.
