Ingredients

    125g Oats
    1 tsp salt
    25g lard
    0.25 tsp bicarbonate of soda
    2-3 tbsp boiling water

Directions

1-Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4 and grease a large baking sheet. Combine the oats, salt and bicarbonate of soda in a bowl.

2-Gently melt the lard in a small saucepan. Quickly add to the dry ingredients and, tbsp by tbsp, add enough boiling water to make a smooth dough.

3-Roll the dough out and cut out your biscuits.

4-Bake for about 20 mins in your preheated oven
