Introduction

1/4 lb steak is 1 serving 1/4 lb steak is 1 serving
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 lb. cube steaks, 1/4-3/8" thick
    3 T. vegetable oil
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1/4 onion, chopped
    1/2 carrot, sliced in thin strips
    1 (8 oz) can beef broth
    1/4 c. Flour
    2 t. dried parsley
    1/2 t. salt
    1/2 t. pepper
    1/2 t. minced garlic
    1/2 c. red wine


Tips

Serve over mashed potatoes, pasta or rice.


Directions

Flour and saute steaks in 3-4 T veg oil, set aside. In same pan saute celery, onion and carrots and 1 T. flour to thicken. Add broth, garlic, parsley salt and pepper to make gravy. Place steaks in a greased 9X13 dish, pour gravy on top and bake at 350, covered, for 30 minutes. Add wine and bake an additional 15 minutes.

Serving Size: 1 lb cube steak makes 4 servings
