IntroductionServe with brown rice Serve with brown rice
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 bell pepper, chopped (any color)
1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon marjoram
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 bag red beans, pre-soaked and drained
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
salt pork (omit for a vegetarian meal)
Place all ingredients in pot and bring to a boil. Simmer on low for 2 hours.
Place all ingredients in crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours.
