Introduction

These fun frozen bananas are as simple as they are healthy. You'll need just three ingredients. These fun frozen bananas are as simple as they are healthy. You'll need just three ingredients.

Ingredients

    1 banana, sliced in half
    2 popsicle sticks or wooden skewers
    1/4 cup low-fat vanilla Greek yogurt
    4 mini chocolate chips

Tips

Greek yogurt sticks to the bananas better than regular yogurt.


Directions

Carefully poke the banana onto the skewer.
Spread the yogurt over the bananas.
Gently place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment or waxed paper.
Adorn with two mini chocolate chips as eyes.
Freeze until firm and serve.

Serving Size: 2 banana "ghosts"

    It's not just for Halloween. You can use any flavor yogurt and add anything you want. I did this with my kids and we added granola. Great alternative to a popsicle, especially if you're trying to teach your kids healthy habits. PS: The yogurt sticks better to pre-frozen bananas. - 10/20/13

  • I made these and my 11yo son liked them and I liked them, but my 4yo and 7yo were not impressed...gonna try different yogurt next time!!! Maybe try regular yogurt instead of greek....it was a lot of fun and easy too!! - 10/13/14
