Whole Wheat Bread

Introduction

This is an easy whole wheat sandwich bread. You can adjust the flour to suit your tastes. Makes 2 loaves. This is an easy whole wheat sandwich bread. You can adjust the flour to suit your tastes. Makes 2 loaves.
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    2 c All Purpose Flour
    4 c Whole Wheat Flour
    1 packet RapidRise yeast
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tbs olive oil
    1 tbs salt
    1.5 c water

Directions

-Add warm water(110 degrees) to a bowl. Dissolve sugar in water and add yeast.
-In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, add the flour and salt.
-Add the olive oil and yeast to the bowl and turn the mixer to low. You may need to add more water to pull the dough together.
-Knead on low for 10 minutes.
-Place in a greased bowl covered with a dish towel for 1 hour or until doubled.
-Punch down the dough and turn onto a floured surface.
-Knead for a minute, then divide the dough in 2 equal pieces.
-Shape them to fit a 1 lb. loaf pan. Add each one to a greased pan.
-Cover the pans with plastic wrap and let rise 45 minutes.
-Bake in a 375 oven for 20-30 minutes.
