Abi's basic imitation crab salad

Introduction

We ran out of tuna. I remembered I bought some "crab" so this is what I made. It's usually how I make it. You can add celery and/or onion if you like yours crunchy-which I do not. We ran out of tuna. I remembered I bought some "crab" so this is what I made. It's usually how I make it. You can add celery and/or onion if you like yours crunchy-which I do not.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 packages flake style imitation crab meat (which ends up being four cups once you flake it)
    3/4 cup real mayonnaise (if you can stomach the light, go ahead and substitute)
    1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    2 tbsp raw turbinado sugar
    2 tsp each onion powder and garlic powder
    1 tsp dry dill weed
    1 tbsp dry parsley flakes

Tips

Serve on a bed of lettuces in a salad or in a sandwich, or by itself as a side.


Directions

With clean hands, get the "crab" as flaky as you can get it. Blend in all ingredients. Cover and store in refrigerator for up to 3 days. If your family is like mine, it won't make it past day one.
