Carmel-y Delicious Brownies

I got this recipe from a friend, whose mom had been making these for years, I was a bit afraid to calculate the calories, but here we go! I got this recipe from a friend, whose mom had been making these for years, I was a bit afraid to calculate the calories, but here we go!
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 box german chocolate cake mix (no pudding in it)
    2/3 cup butter, melted
    1/3 cup evaporated milk
    1 pkg carmels
    1 pkg chocolate chips
    1/3 cup evaporated milk

Tips

Brownies need time to set before serving, or else they become especially melty


Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together cake mix, butter, and milk. Spread 2/3 of the batter in the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.

Melt caramels and evaporated milk on low heat and stir until smooth. Remove brownies from oven and cool several mins. Carefully pour the melted caramels over the brownie evenly. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the melted caramels and pinch the remaining batter over the top of the melted caramels.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 mins.
