CJ's Chili

Introduction

This chili is super mild so if you like spice, you'll want to add chili powder and peppers to taste. Garnish with cheese and sour cream. This chili is super mild so if you like spice, you'll want to add chili powder and peppers to taste. Garnish with cheese and sour cream.

Ingredients

    2 cans (14.5 oz) Petite Diced tomatoes with onions
    2 cans (15.5 oz) mild chili beans
    1 lb lean beef (I use 96% lean)
    6 oz mixed onions and peppers
    1 tbsp oil of choice (I used canola)

Tips

Actually it would probably be done sooner since everything is cooked but this is a nice easy throw together for the weekend or while you are at work.

Directions

I chopped up the onions and peppers in my food chopper but if you like chunks, leave as slices. Saute in oil in a pot. Add beef and cook and chop until browned.

In a slow cooker, add beans and tomatoes and mix in meat mixture until combined. Cook on low 7 hours.

Serving Size: Makes approximately 7 1-cup servings
