Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 Cups (Soaked 8 hours) Great Northern Beans
    3 cups fresh kale, chopped
    3 stalks celery including tops, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
    1/2 cup shredded carrots
    8 oz. diced cured ham
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp black pepper
    4 cups chicken stock
    4 cups water
    1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

drain liquid off the beans after soaking and place in large crock pot with all remaining ingredients. Cook on high for 1 hour then reduce to low for 5 hours.
