Introduction

This was made for my husband and me a few years ago by a dear friend in Florida. We fell in love with it and he gave me the recipe. It can be tweaked by using turkey sausage instead of pork. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    *Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2 tsp.
    *1 cup onion chopped,v
    Clove of garlic
    *Better than Boullion Chicken Base, 2 tsp
    Water, tap, 3.5 cup
    Bush's Best Cannellini Beans 14.5 oz. can-drained
    Diced italian spiced Tomatoes, 14.5 oz, can
    *Barilla Ditalini, 1/2 Cup
    *Johnsonville Sweet Italian Sausage, 1 lb.
    2Tbs of fresh parsley or basil.
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    Salt to taste

Directions

Heat 2 tsp of olive oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add diced onion, garlic, and sausage. Saute 4-5 minutes until onion is tender and sausage is browned, breaking up sausage while cooking.

Add water, Better than Boullion broth, beans, tomatoes, salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Add pasta, cover, and reduce heat to medium and cook 7-9 mionutes until pasta is tender. Stir in 2 TBS. of fresh parsley or frest basil. Ladle into bowls and top with fresh parmesan cheese it desired.

Serving Size: makes 4 2 cup servings
