1 cup lentils (yellow or red)
3 TBL oil (canola)
1 small/medium onion chopped
3 clove garlic
3 TBL Biryani paste/curry paste
1 can chopped tomato
1 can garbonzo beans (chick-peas)
1 small pack of mixed vegetables
1/4 cup raisins
heat oil in pan and sautee onion, garlic and curry paste.
when the onions are clear add diced tomatoes, lentils, chickpeas and mixed vegetalbes and raisens.
Add 3.5 cups of water- bring to boil, reduce heat to simmer and simmer for 20 minutes until lentils are tender.
Hot red pepper can be added if you prefer a hot dish.
