Chunky Chilli for large family

Introduction

This is a fairly simple recipe to make, the kids love it. It feeds my family of 6 for 2-3 meals. Great as left overs. This is a fairly simple recipe to make, the kids love it. It feeds my family of 6 for 2-3 meals. Great as left overs.

Ingredients

    2.5 pounds 80/20 hamburger
2 (29 oz) cans great value tomato sauce
2 (16 oz) cans dark red kidney beans (drained)- Bush's
    2 (14.5 oz) cans dice tomatoes- Hunt's
2 pkg. Williams Chilli Seasoning- Origional

Tips

These are the ingredients I had on hand, you can compare name brands for calorie information if prefer to use different brand. Diced tomatoes with green chillis are great for extra spice. Top with shredded cheese and add crackers (nutritional information for these not included), makes a filling meal.

Directions

Brown hamburger, drain (season to taste with salt, pepper, garlic salt/powder)
As hamburger is cooking, In a large pot add the rest of ingredients, mix and heat on med.- med/high, add cooked hamburger and continue to heat until boiling, then turn down heat to low- med/low and simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until hot (may cover but not necessary), stirring occasionally.

Serving Size: makes 27 1/2 C. servings
