Introduction

Ingredients

    Beans, pinto, 4 cup (remove)
    Water, tap, 7 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    *Cumin seed, 3 tbsp (remove)
    Chili powder, 5 tbsp (remove)
    Salt, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Garlic, 3 clove (remove)

Tips

you can add onions and diced tomatoes for added flavor.


Directions

Wash beans and remove any broken or bad beans. Add all ingredients to slow cooker, cover and cook on high for 4 hours, then reduce heat and cook on low for 2 hours until beans are soft. Depending on the texture you want drain liquid and reserve. Using a potato masher or a hand mixer, smash or mix your beans, add reserved liquid until you get your desired consistency.
