Maryland Crab Soup

Ingredients

    1 lb crab claw meat
    .5 lb beef sirloin cut into bite size pieces
    4 slices Oscar Meyer center cut bacon fried and chopped
    1C carrots chopped
    1 lg onion chopped
    5 scallions chopped
    28 -30 oz canned tomatoes
    2 C beef bouillion
    2handfuls approx 1C shredded cabbage
    3 stalks celery chopped
    2T fresh chives chopped
    1 clove garlic chopped
    1.5 T olive oil
    1 T butter
    2T old bay seasoning
    1soup bone
    3 C water

Tips

If you like your soup spicier, add more old bay.


Directions

using the soup pot, sauté onion and garlic in butter and olive oil until onion is tender. Add celery and cook for a few minutes. Add bouillon, water, bone, tomatoes, carrots, and beef. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least two hours. Add frozen veggies. Raise heat to boil. Add crab, old bay, and bacon. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
