SUMMER SALAD

Introduction

AWESOME salad-even without oranges & nuts! Year-round. AWESOME salad-even without oranges & nuts! Year-round.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    DRESSING: 1/2 t.salt
    2 T.cider vinegar
    2 dashes tabasco sauce
    2 T. sugar
    1/4 c. oil

    SALAD: 1/2 to head iceberg lettuce/or romaine
    1/4 cup sliced celery
    1 bunch sliced gr. onions or chopped reg. onion

    1 small can mandarin oranges (drained)
    1/4 cup sliced almonds (sugared)

Directions

DRESSING: 1/2 t.salt
2 T.cider vinegar
2 dashes tabasco sauce
2 T. sugar
1/4 c. oil
Mix above ingred.--refrig. overnight
SALAD: 1/2- whole head of iceberg lettuce
1/4 cup sliced celery
1 bunch sliced gr. onions, or chop reg.onion

1 can (small) mandarin oranges (drained)
1/4 cup sliced almonds (sugared).

before serving add oranges, almonds & dressing.
--TO SUGAR ALMONDS--
Low heat- put almonds in pan (stove) and sprinkle 1 T. water and 1 T. sugar. Stir until sugar melts. Cool and break apart.
