Shiritake Lo-Mein (Vegetarian)

Introduction

Surprisingly close to what you get at your favorite local Chinese take-away place, but will a lot fewer calories and no MSG! This recipe is for a plain lo mein, but add veggies and tofu (or your favorite veggie meat replacement) for a richer dish. Ingredients

    Tofu Shiritake Angel Hair noodles, 1 package
    Sesame Oil, 1 1tsp
    Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp
    Garlic powder, 1 tsp or to taste

    Chinese Five-Spice Powder, 1 tsp or to taste

Directions

Drain and rinse the shiritake noodles. Squeeze out as much moisture as possible by hand.

Add the shiritake noodles to an ungreased, non-stick frying pan over medium heat. When the shiritake noodles are sizzling, stir and continue cooking for 3-5 minutes or until the the noodles are dry.

Keeping the pan over medium heat, stir in the sesame oil and toss to coat. Add the soy sauce and seasonings and toss to coat.
