Introduction

This is a great make ahead meal that reheats very well. Often I will double the recipe and eat it all week. This recipe makes 6 normal servings, or 4 heaping servings (577 calories) for days you are really hungry! This is a great make ahead meal that reheats very well. Ingredients

    2 Tbs. Olive Oil
    1 Medium Onion, diced
    1 Medium Green Bell Pepper, diced
    3 Clove Garlic, diced or mashed
    1 Lb Ground Turkey
    2 T Worcestershire Sauce
    1 Can Diced Tomatoes, no salt added
    1 Can Tomato Sauce
    2 Tbs. Tomato Paste
    1 tsp. Basil
    1 tsp. Oregano
    1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
    2 tsp. Sugar
    1 Lbs. Whole Wheat Macaroni
    6 Tbs. Parmesan Cheese (1 T per serving)

Directions

1. Heat olive oil on medium heat in a large pot. Add onions and peppers and cook until soft, approximately 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

2. Add turkey to pot and cook until approximately half-way browned. Add Worcestershire sauce and cook turkey until completely browned.

3. Add tomatoes (and juices), tomato paste, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, black pepper, and sugar. Stir until mixed and simmer over low heat for approximately 20 minutes.

3. Cook pasta according to package.

4. Mix pasta and tomato sauce and top each bowl with 1 T of Parmesan cheese.
