Quick Homemade Salsa

Introduction

Better than anything that you buy in the store and not just for chips anymore! I have to make this every week for my family. We use it on baked potatoes, eggs, sandwiches, veggies, and mixed into rice. Better than anything that you buy in the store and not just for chips anymore! I have to make this every week for my family. We use it on baked potatoes, eggs, sandwiches, veggies, and mixed into rice.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 Can tomatoes and green chilis
    1 small onion
    1 large jalapeno
    1/2 bunch cilantro
    1 clove garlic or tsp jarred garlic
    1 lime
    1 cup cherry or grape tomatoes
    1tsp cumin powder
    dash of salt

Directions

First zap the jalapeno in the microwave for 1 minute to bring out all the flavors and then remove stem and slice in half.
Cut your onion into fourths and cut stems off 1/2 of the bunch of cilantro.
In food processer, put your jalapeno, the small onion, the garlic and the cilantro.
Pulse for a few minutes to coursely chop.
Add the canned tomatoes, the fresh tomatoes, the juice of the lime and the cumin.
Pulse again until finely chopped but not smooth. Taste and then add dash of salt or more jalapeno if needed.

Put in container and enjoy this very flavorful and satisfyling salsa knowing that there are very few calories.
