Introduction

Whole wheat cinnamon apple muffins, my very own creation! And I do think they turned out quite tasty, if I do say so myself! I might omit the oil next time to see if there's a difference, and to cut calories. Whole wheat cinnamon apple muffins, my very own creation! Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 cups Whole wheat flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 cup splenda
    1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
    1/4 cup honey
    1/4 cup canola oil
    1 cup apple juice
    1 cup chopped apples (2 apples)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl. In a small bowl, mix the honey, oil, vanilla and apple juice. Add in applesauce. Add the wet mixture into the flour mixture and blend until combined. Stir in apples.

Grease muffin pan. Divide batter evenly to fill 12 muffin cups. Bake for 23 to 28 minutes. Let cool several minutes before removing to cooling racks. to cool completely.

  • in your direction you said add vanilla but you did not list it in your ingred. how much do you put in and is it vannila sugar or extract , also does it come out good with out the oil
