Cream of Broccoli Soup

Ingredients

    1 Medium Vadalia Onion / sweet onion, diced
    2 cans Chicken Broth
    3-4 cans water
    4 med. Potatoes, cubed
    4 10 oz. bags Frozen Broccoli
    2 lg. Stalks Celery, chopped
    5 Cloves Garlic, diced fine
    1/2 cup Hormel Crumbled Bacon
    2 Pks. McCorrmick Cream of Broccoli Mix
    3 Tbs. Butter

    1 can evaporated milk





Tips

Pay attention to not boil after the milk is added because the milk can separate easily if the water boils.
The soup is even better if you use half & half & more butter, but much more fattening!


Directions

Lightly brown the onion in a pot on the stove then add everything, in order, except the milk (you'll add that later), cook until the potatoes are done.
Turn to simmer then Add the milk & simmer for 5 minutes.
